THE MAGIC ZONE

CONNECT TO YOUR CREATIVE BRILLIANCE

ARE YOU READY FOR A CREATIVE AWAKENING?

I'm so excited to share with you a brand-new class I will be co-facilitating with bestselling author, certified clinical hypnotherapist, and dream expert Kelly Sullivan Walden.

Anything is possible and the imagination's magic is real—and Kelly and I both feel that creation is the antidote to isolation, stagnation, and despair during this trying time. That’s why we designed The Magic Zone, a class about discovering how we all have equal access to creative magic…and sometimes all we need is a little support.

The Magic Zone is an 8-week class guided by Kelly Sullivan Walden and Aspen Matis, wherein you get to (re)discover the boundless untapped power of your imagination, supported by weekly accountability, creative community, and a team of several artists who are at the top of their respective creative professions.

JOIN US FOR 8 WEEKS — MAGIC MONDAYS, FROM FEBRUARY 15TH TO APRIL 5TH

In this surreal and trying moment in our collective history, it’s very easy to feel anxious and even to fall into depression. But a crisis is a terrible thing to waste; and this painful obstacle all of humanity is now facing is also a golden opportunity in disguise—a chance to practice becoming the masters of our mind-states. An opportunity to transcend ourselves, our subversive addictions to our own negative thoughts.

For many, the possibility of such internal alchemy exists in the practice of uplifting routines like making time for journaling, exploration, wanderlust, and—most of all—creativity. To enter this state of inspiration and discovery, what we most need is a practice that grounds and inspires us—and holds us accountable to heeding the call of the creative pursuits that offer us the calm and clarity of peace. For, in a time of so much isolation, imagination is the antidote, exemplifying a beautiful paradox: creativity requires aloneness but eradicates loneliness. This is the distinction that will set you free.

Kelly and I have wanted to share this class as a tool for anyone who is seeking an uplifting activity during this wild time. Because if we can be calm and happy now, then we can be happy any time. NOW is the time to love life.

KELLY SULLIVAN WALDEN

"Like John Lennon, I am a dreamer. But I know I’m not the only one. I dream that one day people will stop taking their dreams lying down, and instead, be excited to go to sleep—and inspired to wake up to explore the power of their dreams."

Kelly Sullivan Walden is the CARTA award-winning author of Hero’s Journey Dream Oracle cards and app.

As a dream expert, Kelly is a regular guest on many national talk shows, including The Doctor Oz Show, Ricki Lake, The Real, Bethenny, Coast to Coast, and Hallmark’s Home & Family. She’s decoded dreams for celebrities such as Topher Grace, Stassi Schroeder, Logan Paul, The Real Housewives of Orange County’s Gretchen Rossi and Heather Dubrow, Critics' Choice TV Award-winning actress, Monica Potter, and Dancing with the Stars’, Maksim Chmerkovskiy, to name a few.

In addition to her latest work of heart, Awakened Dreamer Oracle Cards, Kelly is the author of 6 bestselling books, 4 oracle decks, 2 journals, and dozens of meditation programs. Her approach to dreams is both reverent and irreverent, which may account for why she’s rumored to be the love-grandchild of Carl Jung and Lucille Ball. She credits Julia Cameron for The Artis’s Way and “Morning Pages” as one of her secrets for keeping her creative channel flowing like a firehose.

ASPEN MATIS

“"An admission of uncertainty is so often, in our culture, seen as weakness. Yet it is only when a mind admits I do not know that it becomes open to unseen possibility, and honest inquiry. It’s as if discovery becomes possible only when the fixed channels of one’s mind become electric, charged with the untamed energy of wonder. In this way, humility is the necessary precondition for all learning."

Aspen Matis is the author of Your Blue Is Not My Blue: A Missing Person Memoir (Little A, June 2020). Called “fearless…A beautifully written story of inspiration, courage, and ultimate transformation” by Booklist, the book was a #1 Amazon bestseller in memoirs. Author Deepak Chopra said the memoir “will open the door to empathy, compassion, and healing.” Novelist Aimee Bender called Your Blue Is Not My Blue “gorgeous…a gripping read that wrestles honestly and sensitively with the ways we connect and the ways we miss one another.”

Matis's short-form writing has been published in The New York Times, The AtlanticTin House, Psychology Today, Salon, and Marie Claire. Her first book, the critically acclaimed memoir Girl in the Woods, was published by HarperCollins in 2015. Called “a powerful read” by O, The Oprah Magazine, the book made The Guardian's annual top 50 list. The New York Times named Matis “a hero.”
